MaidenTide’s name would suggest a dragoness who is virtuous and feminine- a lady of high pedigree and untouched purity. And this description would fit her up to a point, but still fail miserably in even scratching the surface of the Duchess of the Abyssal Acropolis. She is a lady to the upmost, always polite and manners exacting to rank and duty- and will expect the same of both her superiors and inferiors. She is beautiful and majestic in her beauty with a will of iron and self-control that makes her a formidable dragon that few would dare impose.

If such a force of personality does not bare down upon those she meets, then pressure of her magic shall surely make one bow before her. Few can compete against her powers and she is never loathe to hide her abilities, and shall ruthlessly use them to obtain what she desires. What does she desire? Well MaidenTide desires only the safety and well-being of Water Flight, and specifically the prosperity and power of the Clan of the Lionfish. To further this agenda, MaidenTide has secured many of the secrets of the Sea of a Thousand Currents, secrets that pull the tides around the world of Sornieth.

To insure the protection of such priceless mysteries, MaidenTide has received the Blessing of Secrecy. Through the blessing she can insure that her servants can keep secrets even to their graves. These servants are called “Secret Keepers”, and are often sought after by dragons to console their deepest secrets to relieve the burdens of their souls. It is said that to commune with a Secret Keeper is to give one’s secrets directly to Tidelord and for all to be forgotten and forgiven. Unfortunately, the greatest secret is that while Secret Keepers cannot reveal the secrets spoken to them to most dragons, they can and must disclose them to MaidenTide. So much like a spider in her web, MaidenTide uses this hidden knowledge to suit her needs and desires- changing the tides and currents for her own agenda.

But it is not just the knowledge of other’s mysteries that has led to her considerable power. With the ranking of Tidelord Sage Priestess, MaidenTide has access to the libraries and artifacts of the Spiral Keep. It is there that she learned the sacred rites of fertility and vitality; and it is her duty to share and teach those holy rites to the priests and priestesses of Tidelord. She frequently leaves the Abyssal Acropolis during the Spring and Summer to travel around the sea performing her duties as a Sage. During Fall and Winter she radiantly returns home to her mate and her base of power to recharge and plan for her next conquest.
