The Paperboy

Charlie is one of the smallest and youngest dragons who run deliveries, and he won’t go very far. He only ever takes small jobs that can have him and his dog back within two days at most. The only jobs that he ever feels truly comfortable taking are the ones where he assists one of the more experienced dragons. No one else minds his peculiarness.

After he was abandoned as an egg and brought back by a delivery dragon on the way home, he’s become something of a younger brother to all the older dragons of the lair and is protected with varying levels of fierceness and indulgence. Despite how well he’s accepted and treated, Charlie still has an unconscious fear of being left behind or forgotten. When he or those he considers himself close to are gone, Charlie can find himself getting anxious very easily and struggles with relaxing without distraction, which is usually provided by his faithful dog, who he’s never seen without since finding them on his first solo delivery. Perhaps something struck a chord with him about being left behind.

Without a true family to claim as his own, Charlie slips between different groups with ease and has a place almost everywhere in the lair. With his eager-to-please personality and natural humor, Charlie is an incredibly easy dragon to like and has earned himself not only many good friends, but perhaps a family of his own making.
