The other stranded ones are unbelievably lucky that they found Fitz. They are, in many ways, the backbone of the group. With a lifetime of experience in living off the land, they were able to find edible greenery and insects amongst the countless poisonous, venomous, and otherwise harmful life surrounding the Bay, and even managed to tame its unruly soil to plant the beginnings of a crop field. Without them, the others would not eat. They spend their time either tending to their plants, gathering and trying to breed insects for those who eat them, or fervently writing down everything they learn about the local flora and fauna. Their gentle, calm temperament leaves them well equipped to keep everyone else from going for each other's throats.

Fitz ended up at the Bay by accident. Xir quaint cottage home was right on the outskirts of Sheol, and xe'd ventured into it one day while chasing after an escaped rooster from xir farm. The bird led xem so far into the wilds that xe stumbled into the den of a manticore who hungrily went after xem for miles. By the time xe'd finally shaken the beast off xir tail, xe had no idea where xe was anymore. All hope of finding xir way home lost, xe wandered the harsh landscape until xe happened upon two other dragons setting up a campsite -- two dragons who were lost and terrified just like xem.
