Biography

The Tsams - Flotsam and Jetsam
Flotsam and Jetsam — or, left to right while facing them head-on, Jetsam and Flotsam — are an Aberration pair of beachcombers collectively referred to as “the Tsams”. The two hang around the shore near where the Summerstorm Stream meets the ocean, referred to as the Shockwave Shore, and spend their days combing the beach for treasures.

Their favorite things to find are goods that have been jettisoned off of the ship. Items that have accidentally floated off the ship are great, too, but when the ship intentionally throws the items off, they usually have the intention of coming back for them — and when Flotsam and Jetsam get to these items first, they can sell them back to the sailors at a hugely marked-up price. This shady method is how the two have made their living.

The two are greedy, and sleazy, and cruel, and crass, and above all, they’re rude. They don’t have any regard for anybody but themselves. They refuse to lift a claw without knowing that they’ll get something out of the situation. They couldn’t care less about other businesses or sailors or anything; as far as they’re concerned, if it washes up on their beach, it belongs to them to do as they please with.

Looking at them, one might notice that the left head, Jetsam, has an irregular appearance. The two fell into the Wyrmwound as hatchlings while on a trip with their parents, and Jetsam took the brunt of the fall. His appearance in particular mutated drastically, although their entire body was changed to some extent. Jetsam has suffered some communication difficulties as a result; his tongue was changed to an extent that he can’t always make the phonemes required for Draconic. Flotsam does most of the talking between them, but he’s rude enough for both of them.
