He had never asked for this. One moment, he was living his normal life, helping his clan out with gathering food in the Ghostlight Ruins. The next... he had a stray wraith hound skull obscuring part of his vision, settling atop his own head and covering his face like a mask. Ghostly energies swarmed his senses and mind, treating his limbs like those of a puppet. Where the wraith now was the puppeteer.

Revenant had left his clan a while after this... possession. This parasite had permanently decided to try and fight for control over his body. Maybe it was because the original body of the wraith was destroyed, leaving it as a floating head that still had a mind of its own? Whatever the case was, he now was stuck with this wretched thing giving him constant headaches from fighting against it and from hearing it click and clatter its teeth right all around his own skull.
He hated it.

At some point he had stumbled upon Trip, hearing her calls for stagehands for the show she was setting up. Now in need of a new place to stay after abandoning his former clan, and hearing Trip's promises of a "home for the misfits and unwelcomed" gave him hope finally.
