Biography
Tunneller   UES Tunneller lives to dig (and wrap himself around his mate Copper). Copper tells him where to dig and how far, and the speedy spiral is like a mechanical corkscrew burrowing through the sandstone. His large eyes give him good sight in the dark underground, while his glowing tail is enough light for his Nocturne mate to follow. If the two are separated within the dark winding tunnels, the jolly jingling of Tunneller’s garments helps to lead Copper to his side. His mate is more prone to sneezing when in clouds of dust than he is, so she must wear a mask while working in freshly dug tunnels. Tunneller doesn’t have this problem, and will happily go back through tunnels that need adjustments. He carries some old tools with him just in case, but primarily uses his reinforced claws*. His reliable Molecricket friend helps to carve away the stone for more delicate requirements, often grooves for cables to run through. Between work shifts, Tunneller likes to carve things into stones. There’s a growing little pile of statuettes and reliefs in the main chamber, despite Innokenti’s pleas for him to clean up. *”I met a cool Earth mage during the last Rockbreaker’s Ceremony who used his cool amped-up Earth powers to make my claws real sharp! He says I can cut through rock like butter if I want to, and he said something else about ‘enhancing my tolerance’ for something, I dunno, I was too busy checking out my cool new talons. Seems he magicked my head & neck too, and dust don’t bother me no more, maybe that’s what he meant?” Hoard
