Biography
Copper   UES Copper utilizes her Earth magic to check the surrounding stone and see if it is safe for future tunneling. Sometimes, new pathways or cables need new underground tunnels dug, and she makes sure that the ground above is solid, and the ground below won’t give way. Her mate Tunneller then goes at it, digging as far as Copper has deemed safe with his trusty Molecricket companion. Once he’s done, Copper goes in with her Longmech, using its extendable neck to measure the height and width of the tunnel. If the tunnel is fit for use, not needing any resizing at the hands of her mate, Copper marks the layout of future additions with a piece of gypsum chalk, indicating where Innokenti and Zeydradon should start their work. Due to the large amount of dust and sand kicked up from freshly-dug tunnels, Copper wears a protective mask while she works in them. She may be an Earth dragon, but even they don’t like having lungs full of sediment. While reading the rock with her magic, Copper sometimes finds fossils. Her magic is similar to sonar, or echolocation, wherein she sends out pulses of it through her claws on a rock face, and evaluates what the surrounding stone is composed of. She excitedly rushes to Tunneller when she locates a fossil, and he just as excitedly drills through the solid walls to retrieve it for her. These “fossil burrows” typically are just offshoots of main tunnels, and are too small and thin for dragons other than Spirals to fit through. More often than not, Tunneller re-fills these burrows with the stone he dug out of them, and Copper uses her magic to “vibrate it all back in place”; thus ensuring the structural integrity of the clan’s underground systems.
