Biography
Jacamar
Long ago in the kingdom of Illion there were a family of banescales. They passed a book down their lineage where they added their own contributions, ranging from the scribbles of a child to spells pilfered from Fei. Their love for the book gave it life. When Illion fell and the family was killed the book found willpower.
It was one of the few books Gilliver managed to save before the kingdom perished. Through reading the pages the book found the last magic necessary to make its wish true. Memories of generations and powerful magic swirled, creating the book spirit Jacamar.
Being non-mortal there's many thing Jacamar doesn't understand about the world. When injured or sleepy she reverts to book form. She serves Gilliver as they both have a vendetta against the Necroblossom Empire and their former Princess Charlotte. She's spirited, outspoken and single-minded in her goal, but also intelligent. She has generations worth of knowledge contained within.

Legacy Challenge
Goal is to breed a pretty banescale with as many high-value genes as possible. This will be done in ten generations starting with an all-basic banescale as progenitor.
Rules
Free choice between eggs.
Heritors and mates must be banescales.
Names are based on birds.

Within the depths of the library lies an old book. Moths have eaten away at the pages leaving most of the text intelligible. But perhaps with the right treatment, what's left can be restored... |

The first pages all contain crazed scribblings. There's no rhyme or reason to them. Red ink has been drawn on top of the words, connecting them like spiderweb. |

Next up is... hang on, this isn't even text! Looks like a young hatchling doodled all over the pages. |

Finally something that looks promising. There's a number of runes written down. Glowing with magic. |

Long strings of runes sprawl across the paper, becoming more complex for each page. The residual magic is interfering with the restoration cure. How peculiar. |

The scribbles on the following pages jump around. If you didn't know better the words seem to act joyfully in response to your treatment. Does this book have sentience? |

Humming emanates from the pages. There's a soft thumping, akin to a heartbeat. The deeper the cure penetrates the louder the song becomes. |

Now the book becomes engulfed in magical fire. It does not hurt your claws nor does it burn the pages, but any other dragon that draws near is charred. |

The flames dance and take shape of a dragon. The eyes stare into your, brimming with stories to tell. A song echoes through the room. |

In a flash the book burns into ash and in its place stands a banescale. The dragon shakes off residual ash from its wings and bows its head. |
