Biography
Hunting and gathering are important skills for any scout to have,
so grab your gear and head out to rummage up some grub!
And many hands make light work, so be sure to recruit any
friends you make along the way!
Crafting takes patience and practice, so we're going to work on both.
Get your toolkit together and head over to the trading post to see
what you can find! Whatever your talents may be,
you're sure to find something you can make!
Generosity is the hallmark of a true Wind Scout. Giving of your
time and money, even in the smallest amount, helps us reach for
higher goals than any of us could reach on our own.
The true reward is the satisfaction that comes from being
a part of something bigger, of course,
but don't forget to grab any badges you earn.

Lord Greegun's Wind Scout Badge Adventures
Lord Greegun was very bored one day, and Siltaria bugged him to get out in the sunshine and get involved in the community. There were so many clubs and events to participate in, how could anyone be bored?
He grumbled as he stomped out of the Lair and to the cliff overlooking Windstar Bay. It was a sunny day, Bah. He put his googles on to protect his sensitive eyes. He was just settling down to a nice quiet afternoon nap, when he heard excited voices, both older and young hatchlings. Bah...but he got up anyway and headed in the direction of the voices arguing now, though not in anger, just boisterous decision making, he was certain. He had to find out what was going on, and then he could get back to his nap.
He came upon a group of dragons, young and old, standing around a posted scroll, and someone else had a map out and they were going back and forth between the two. There were obviously differences of opinion in the group. What could they be doing? Or could he help them settle all this hullabaloo and head off so he could nap in peace? Hmph.
"What's this all about, eh?" he gave a huff and bowled over a little hatchling that squeeled with glee as he tumbled. Greegun tried hard not to smile.
A young male Pearlcatcher he did not know, because new dragons were born every day here, excitedly pointed at the scroll with it's artwork and Announcement. "There's a new Scouting Club, and it's offering badges for things, sort of like a scavenger hunt! It's suppose to help the Lair when the next Dom Battle comes around, and we all wanted to help, but we can't figure out where to go to get the things."
Lord Greegun shuffled up to read the announcement, and thought that this might be just the thing to get involved with. These dragons needed some help, and he wanted to join the fun...er, do his part for the Lair...and get Siltaria and the others off his back.
"Well, well, well. This sounds like a worthwhile adventure for all of us. Who's the Scoutmaster here?"
"That's Callis, but he's ummmm....." The dragon who replied looked uneasily at the ground and shuffled his front claws nervously.
"Yes, stuck in his lab until the spell wears off, I heard about that growth spell incident. Well, we can do this on our own, and we can go to the Wind Scout Lead Council - they aren't that far away."
Everyone was supportive of that plan, it was just a simple matter of deciding how many of the different items were needed, and the best place to find them all so that everyone could finish their badges. Lord Greegun had some ideas, and helped everyone come to some decisions. Another dragon wrote up the list, another had a very good map. They decided they would need snacks for the adventure, and a group went to the kitchens to get some picnic baskets filled. Another group realized they would need a lot of sacks, cages, and crates, and went to the lair store room to see what they could find.
When everyone was gathered, they followed the Wind Scout with the map, and his friend with the compass, to the spot where they could gather up the amount of food needed. Then they gathered the other items. They had a wonderful trip to Swipp's, and avoided disaster while at Baldwin's getting some items brewed up. They ate a good afternoon supper, and moved on to capturing some familiars in the area. One Wind Scout may have broken a leg, and two other dragons volunteered to help him back to the lair, after everyone promised to make sure there were enough familiars for all of them.
Loaded down and very tired, they flew off to the Wind Scout Council and turned in everything needed for the badges. The Council was happy to learn of their cooperation and good organization despite their Scoutmaster being indisposed. They handed out the badges, and the extras for those who had to return to the lair with their injured companion, and over a snack of cookies and Cloud Coolers, the Council told them all the wonderful things the Wind Flight could do with what they had gathered. A few dragons were inspired and decided to sign up for Battle Training!
The flight home was filled with fantastically funny flying and much laughter, as well as songs and cloud games. They returned to the lair, saying goodbye, but planning to meet again next week, to see what new badges and adventures they could have then. Perhaps Scoutmaster Callis would be back to normal by then.
As Lord Greegun walked into the lair, proudly displaying his badges on a cloth draped across his chest, he gave a smile and a nod to Siltaria. The incredulous look on her face was priceless as he and a few other Scouts walked over to the newborn hatchies at the fireplace, and spent a pleasant evening telling the littlest ones all about their adventures that day, and the importance of helping their lair and their flight.
Nothing was better than that good feeling when you were part of your community,
working together for the better of Wind Flight!
