Biography
|
Orphaned at birth, Gale was raised within the ice-laden walls of of a quiet monastery in the Cloudscrape Crags by the monks of the Southern Star, a religious group who worshiped a divine prophet. As a child, he was taught to live and abide by the rules of the church, consequently giving him the reserved personality he has now. He grew up amongst other orphans, those of the ice who the monks took in, and they became quite like a family to him. He was the perfect child, proper, intelligent, witty; and he never lost a fight. He'd occasionally be found wandering about the temple, drifting in and out of the sparkling haze as if he had something on his mind---and that he did. Despite his loving home and strong religious affiliation, he always felt as if his life was missing something important, and when alone he'd be quite downcast. When he came of age, the church had him pick his way of life in the temple, as all children came to do; become a follower of the book, or a defender. With his strong body and fighting prowess, he decided to dedicate his life and soul to becoming a loyal knight of the Southern Star. The monks were more than pleased by this decision, and him and few others took up the sword to defend their prophet's word. He trained for many years, and with each year he surpassed more and more warriors. Quite a long time later, he was on a job accompanying a band of exalted warriors of the Icewarden, whose mission was to bring in thieves and bandits who were causing a disturbance in a small alpine town lost within the rolling snowy hills of tundra. As a missionary/diplomat, he was assigned the menial task of preaching the book when the rogues were captured, although his temple had believed he would be able to convert and free them, which never really happened on any of his missions, he never had the heart to tell them that. Religion to the exalted of the ice was nothing important; what was important was clearing the area of all possible threats. And that he did. Rounding up the last group of mirror bandits within the trees, he ran into a particularly strange sort of dragon. ---finish later----
