Although she didn't know her father very long before he departed for the Arcanist's ranks while she was a hatchling, Ruffle inherited Aix's creative tendencies, alongside his wardrobe. However, she doesn't quite share her dad's sociable nature, and instead struggles to connect with clanmates. Why, one could rather easily convince a hatchling that Ruffle is mute, and never have them figure out the truth for years. Rather than vye for social interaction, Ruffle takes solace in her imagination, creating stylized works and stories that, despite possibly being rather confusing to other dragons, bring a great source of serotonin, and an easy conversation starter. Galiya, her mother, was a dedicated source of support for Ruffle's eccentricities, and Ruffle remembers her fondly after she also left for the Arcanist's abode.
Despite her passion, Ruffle struggles with motivation and decision paralysis in the face of trying to decide which of her many artistic hobbies to dedicate precious effort and leisure time to. She dabbles in everything from clay sculpture to pencil sketches, origami to painting, and poetry to sewing. Occasionally, she'll try to network with likeminded clanmates, like Marble in sculpture or Prism in glassmaking, to limited success.
