The Shade Emperor
The first of a new subspecies

Naomi > Willow > Moroi > Viorica
Ignis > Marduk > Moroi > Viorica

Into the Wake Hatchery - G5 Moroi kids

A noble sorceress from Ingheldin, whose past and bloodline is shrouded in mystery. Corrupted by a unknown pathogen that fell from the Luminax as it continued it's rage in the Emperor's Wake, they is becoming the first in a new sub breed of Emperors, corrupted by the taint of the Shade from their bloodline.

Even from a young age, Vio wanted to prove themselves against the other royal children who were being raised alongside them and their brother. As they grew and were trained, Viori never preferred the sword, it still felt foreign to them even after training with it. Unknown to Vio, their strong affinity to magic shone through thanks to tapping into their bloonline’s magic source passed down to the Imperial from their great grandmother. The affinity was stronger with light and shadow magic, which they honed away from their brother and was soon set to train under the more talented magic wielders of Ingheldin. As years went by, the newly appointed Sorceress, now called “The Aion” in public, started to make a name for themself, especially once Viorica started creating beastly shades from their powers, these being their companions from that point on.

Once the urge to find out where they belonged, Vio consulted with their bodyguard, Isadora, someone that Andras had personally assigned to them upon their transfer into the magic division of the guards, and with a blessing of Andrias, they set out into the Wastes. It would be dangerous, but what journey to self discovery wouldn't be? They were different from others in the City and Viorica needed to find out why they were. What was the reason for their differences? The Isadora and Vio traveled from one settlement to another, until they met Yuki and Faolin, a blind oracle and his guardian who Vio happened upon outside. They exchange stories and Yuki, after he reads the Imperial’s future, explains that their journey takes them into the deepest parts of the waste, where trouble is brewing. That Vio’s powers are somehow connected to that trouble. The greyscale dragon offers his help in uncovering the mysteries of this trouble, his skydancer guardian sighing and commenting that he always seems to want to rush into danger. And into the Wake no less.

During a scuffle with some bandits in the Wastes a few weeks into their journey, Vio gets infected by the pathogen that starts to slowly affect their mind, a key factor that marks an Imperial’s transformation into an Emperor. This pathogen affects their magic in unusual ways at the start, making a spell of theirs backfired while resting, causing discoloration on their entire body. Vio starts to panic more as time goes on, the Imperial’s vision clouding energy so often as the pathogen starts its slow process into completely infecting them.

A frown pulled at Yuki’s fanged lips, his pale eyes drifting over the discoloration that plagued the Imperial’s body. Even though the wildclaw was blind, the oracle used his magic to ‘see’ the magical essence of every dragon in his mind painting a limited picture of these auras in his mind. The traces of magic were erratically moving within the Imperial, showing its very faint outline to him. Whatever this thing was, it did not infect him, Faolin or Isadora, yet it was highly intelligent it seemed. This was a concerning sign indeed, and one that they needed to look into immediately.

“My dear Vio, you must rest while we devise a way to understand how this mystery works. Unlocking its secrets is the key to developing a plan to attack the pathogen, if it even can be called on at this point, at its source and isolate it.”

Vio's Emperor Form [Lore and design/description]
The “Shade” Emperor
[Fallen Queen]

During the solar eclipse, which happened after their nest of now earth infused eggs hatched (thanks to their Brother's help), Viorica started to weave a spell to prevent any more accidents from happening to their future eggs. Even with being as knowledge and talented of the magical arts as the Aion was, things could still go wrong. And unfortunately in that moment, a brief moment of hesitation, a split second of a pause right as the eclipse hit full totality changed everything. With a rushing roar that echoed through the cave, a powerful pulse traveled through the area, hitting them just as the shade swelled forth from them in response to the total eclipse, having increased in strength from the darkness that spread across the land. Waking up with a concerned Yuki hovering over them, casting a few waves healing magic, infusing the waves with potent suppression magic to temporarily calm the raging shade back into their body, which agitated and mutated the pathogen inside them. This massive backfire and mutation caused their scales to turn from brown and white to a deep blue and black color.

* The shade stains several areas a deep purple black color, mainly near each of their wing joints and paws. Patches of condensed shade infused crystal shards grow from the base of each pair of horns and up each wing joint.
* Currently has up to six shade heads, the number can increase or decrease depending on Vio’s mood. The shade heads are due to the mutation that the pathogen caused after a massive backfire caused by a spell under the eclipse. They start becoming more visible as time going on.
* Three pairs of main wings, long and feathery, stained purple at the edges. Two pair of smaller wings, one located on their shoulders and and the other at their hindquarters with the same stained edges.
* Heterochromatic eyes - one bright yellow while the other is a deep purple black. The shade heads also mirror this look.
* Two shade tails to accompany her single, normal Imperial tail, all three have small feathered tuffs with stained purple ends at the base. Each tail ends in a fan of feathers with one set of long flowing feathers at the edges of each one.
* Vio’s body is slender and light, able to move easily through the Wake without hindrance. Their changed appearance has caused them to be several times larger than their normal imperial form.
* Three sets of horns frame each head. Their main pair rests a few inches behind the eye ridges and are the longest while the other two pairs are shorter and frame their cheek and jaw area.
* Unlike normal Imperial's, Vio has no whiskers.
