Even before Helena was turned to stone, she usually didn't speak out much and when she did the words were carried out in a hushed tone.

[ K I N D ]

The clan she had always resided in knew her as someone with a caring heart and having a friendly, considerate nature. She was rather affectionate in her feelings and hardly spoke a harsh word to anyone.

Around the other dragons, Helena adapts a reserved personality, showing a bit of nervousness in the way she speaks and carries herself.


Helena is not well known in the clan as she's typically seen as a stone statue on the outside of the clan, almost as if she were protecting them. Many assume she's only a stone statue when in reality, the opposite is true. Helena used to be a dragon like the other clan members, she was the wife of a ridgeback named Rattlegore.

When her and Rattlegore were residing in a different clan, they were invaded by an emperor with his own purposes for doing so. They rose up a battle in the clan and Helena, having been mixed up in the middle of things, was cursed to turn to stone. Rattlegore, in a state of panic, took Helena away to look for a clan that could help them, which ended up with them residing in the Starfall Clan.

Even though Helena has the power to turn herself back into the dragon, it takes away a great deal of physical and mental strength to do that. And even then, it can only last for a few hours in her dragon form before she's turned back to stone. It never permanently goes away and they're still looking for a better solution to help her and restore their lives. Until that time, if it ever comes, Helena stays situated as a stone guardian to protect the clan and keep a watchful eye over what's happening. She usually only turns back now in time of need when the clan requires it.

Helena tends to blame herself for what happened during the battle and for making her husband suffer continuously without her by his side all the time. However she still has some hope that something more permanent will come along for the two of them.
Rattlegore
Helena didn't have much time, her and Rattlegore both knew it and they both feared it as well. They had been travelling for hours now, the stone slowly crawling across the length of Helena's body, threatening to swallow her whole. Despite that, she was managing to stay as strong as she could. It was easy to see the look of terror Rattlegore had painted on his face out of worry for his wife, he truly was going as fast as he could.

After a while longer, they stumbled across a new arcane clan, both in a state of haze as the stone had almost completely engulfed her. They both knew well what would happen if it wasn't stopped.

"Can you help us?" The ridgeback asked as they came across a pearlcatcher they assumed to be the leader of the clan here. "Please... It's my wife, it's a curse." He huffed out, catching his breath from their journey.

The pearlcatcher glanced carefully over the two of them with a kind smile covering her face. "We'll work on looking for a cure for your wife in exchange for your services. Does that sound fair?"

Rattlegore nodded furiously. "Please, just help her. I'll give you my services for that." He whispered, looking down at Helena with a determined look before following the pearlcatcher further into her clan and now theirs. He only hoped that they would be able to help them.
