"We’ve nothing to fear but fear itself! …And the Molten Wartoads. We should fear those."

Sweetmist enters the arena and survey’s the fresh, young recruits, who scramble to form into a straight line in front of him as he clears his throat.

“So, you’ve chosen the hard path, the difficult road, the dusty trail. You’re here to train beside me to receive the ultimate honor; exaltation to serve our Gladekeeper.” Sweetmist turns back, walking back across the front line of the new recruits.

“It won’t be easy!” He warns, shouting over the heads of the first row to the larger snappers in the back. “You’ve got a lot of work to do if you think you’re going to be worthy of serving the Gladekeeper.”

Sweetmist turns, stretches his wings, and gives the nervous young dragons a daring grin.

“So, to battle, I say, to war! Stomp your feet my friends, flap your wings! Feel your hearts racing and your blood thicken within your veins, for we are to victory, and glory! For Dominance! For the clan!” He leads the charge into the battle fields, the recruits following behind him after only a moment pause.

“We’ve nothing to fear but fear itself!” Sweetmist shouts behind him at the young dragons following him. He hesitates at that, thinking it might be best not to mislead them. “…And the Molten Wartoads. We should fear those.”

One of the dragons behind him gulps, but Sweetmist pushes ever on.
