From her hatching by the clan-parents, Araqiel was fascinated by the clan's history, wanting to document everything she was introduced to, every story she heard, every event she saw. It wasn't uncommon to find the Fae writing at all hours of the night, tail spattered with ink and eyelids drooping, even as she kept writing in neat, perfect script. Her manuscripts, referred to first as The Rayya Record and then The Brightclaw Record, documents the clan's history: everything from the shift in power from the progenitors to Hatshepsut, to the move from Arcane to Nature lands, has been written by Araqiel's hand, kept safe in her bound tomes that she guards ferociously. Many have offered to help her keep track of her record, including Joel, but she refuses to let anyone look over them but her. Araqiel's commitment to her work makes her one of the prides of the Brightclaw, and she's often asked by new parents or younger clanmembers to read from her record, to teach their history.

Beyond history, however, Araqiel doesn't have much. Her own history is unknown, an abandoned Wind egg found in Arcane territory, and perhaps that's why she's so determined to record the Brightclaw's past. She had a brief dalliance with Qrow, but his poor luck had the potential to be extremely detrimental to her work, and so they had to split, though she still cares about her friend and was overjoyed for him when he found a mate that balanced him. She and Omen do get along, and Araqiel will often ask the cursebreaker to sit with her as she writes, the good luck helping her to recall everything with perfect clarity and preventing smudges or spills of ink. 		wind_2.png
