Aspiring Hero

Nibbs fancies himself as hero material, and that is why he has become Saloonka's arch nemesis. He hopes that saving the drawers from Saloonka's evil will grant him a position of power and influence, but the trouble is that the Evil Overlord is terribly popular and Nibbs is not. Even his own son, Pagne, has been led astray by bribes of cake and shared baths.

While Nibbs may want to be a hero, he could not be accused of being good. He does not believe in protecting the weak and downtrodden, because he knows the potential such folk can have if given the chance, having been there himself. Instead he prefers to keep power with idle nobles who only want comfort and something to complain about, so he supports Lord Kovrek and his following of self-declared royals.

He is hopelessly in love with Vasherri but he gets severely tongue-tied when he tries to speak to her, and she could not give half a hoot about him.
