Biography
Just like her partner Cosmos, she is a fun-loving and goofy dragon but whenever it's time to discuss council matters she gets right down to business!
Her interests include interflight relations, draconic politics, defense and combat related technology...... and random sparkly knick-knacks.
She is also the flight's Arcane ambassador! Two of her children-- Stella and Orion-- in fact reside on the Starfall Isles as members of my Arcane friend's clan. :)
History of the Joint Clan of the Circle of Friends and Aurum Inc.
The clan has bases in Light and Lightning with both bases having different leadership. The Light base is homegrown by the sweet and humble matriarch Olympia the Tundra and her loved ones, most notably her partner Prof. Vasilios the Spiral and her friend since youth, Pasqual the Fae. The Lightning base is ruled by the company director Aurelius the Ridgeback of Aurum Inc.
Aurelius and his partner Artemidora the Coatl had been friends with Olympia and Vasilios. At some point, the lightning pair went shortly into exile in the Sunbeam Ruins following some conflict involving Aurelius' business rivals. This caused them to officially join the clan-- which was at that point a fledgling Light clan. Around this period, he made significant financial contributions which forever altered the trajectory of the clan as a whole.
After biding time and collecting resources, Aurelius and some companions (most notably Artemidora; his deputy Serenade the Sandsurge; the aspiring researcher, Dr. Spectra the Mirror) set off to the Shifting Expanse to slowly reclaim their place. However, as a major benefactor to the Light base, Aurelius maintained official connection with his light friends. From here, the clan's dual-nature identity was established. Nevertheless, the territorial expansions occur only in the Lightning base; the Light base is more concerned with upkeep of their territory in the Mirrorlight Promenade than with the acquisition of any new territory. For this reason, the clan's exalts work for the Stormcatcher.
Connections Between Flights
In my personal headcanon lore (inspired by gameplay itself), the dominance scene of Sornieth has been moving away from traditional warfare. With the deities having acquired stable spheres of power, diplomacy is more often employed and intercultural exchange between flights has become more usual.
Even the deities themselves have perhaps become more interested in soft power-- bolstering economic activity and tourism via fests and dominance events where all can participate. Every flight and deity maintains its self-interests but this rarely escalates to full-on armed conflict between opposing sides anymore... or so is what some draconic political analysts hope. Astra would say, this definitely is a standpoint that exists.
As far as this clan goes, Light and Lightning allied dragons generally work together, bringing together the best of the former's theoretical knowledge and prowess in the humanities, and the latter's more practically oriented and STEM-relevant innovations. However, both have occasional judgements towards each other due to their differing priorities.
Arcane is seen as an ally in the pursuit of learning. Scholars of the clan occasionally collaborate with counterparts in Arcane.
Quite a bunch of Wind dragons also find a place in the clan's Light base due to their friendliness.
Shadow is still somewhat distrusted or feared, as the opposite element to Light, but since Pasqual's partner, Smaragda the Coatl, is a Shadow dragoness herself-- and so is their adopted child turned ambassador, Nightshade the Auraboa-- there are efforts to bridge the differences between these contrasting elements.
