Evangeline was not a working dragon. A breed of objective beauty and purity, her ken were meant to be eye candy alone - at least, as far as she was concerned. As much as she'd been a suitable bachelorette for the earliest years of her life, when the deities called upon their children to work - she was beholden.

So, Evangeline worked, too meek to object beyond a short-lived whine that her superiors snapped at. She was a weak member of the Dustcarve Dig until a cave-in ended her career horridly and abruptly. She was shuffled from healer to healer as she suffered new chronic pains and panic attacks as a result of the traumatic cave-in before finally being invited to the Tearoom by Peach herself. The older coatl was as kind and gentle as Evangeline has always needed, and though the concept of going underground - even into basements - causes her to panic, her pain and fear has been made managable, and she finds herself perfectly at home serving in the Tearoom.

She's now a valued member of the serving staff, becoming particularly close to Peach as a friend.

Evangeline exhibits chronic pain through her wings, tail, and neck due to the blunt force trauma and heavy weight her body was crushed by. Any broken bones and scars have long since healed thanks to quick treatment, but the nerve damage makes me suspect she suffered greater damage to her spine that was missed. I've worked with members of the STU in Clan Querencia to develop Electrodendrite Stimulators, metal piercings that channel gentle electrical currents to help reduce her pain. So far, this has been successful, but as it is still experimental, I will continue to monitor her condition.

Her mental faculties have recovered very well! My diagnosis remains PTSD, and she is not free from panic attacks to this day - but she has made leaps and bounds to managing the trauma on her own. If the stimulators remain functional and effective, she should safely be discharged from care and welcome to full-time employment within months.
