Sayri

For some dragons, the pursuit of knowledge becomes all consuming. Family, friends, relationships all fade into the background of the neverending quest. Temnota was one of these dragons. She ran in search of the answers to questions she couldn't even begin to comprehend. Her thirst for knowledge drove her, combining badly with her natural hunting tendencies as a mirror. Even in her dreams, she constantly sought the answers, and even the questions, to Everything. Anything. Nothing.

It was only when she came across the ravaged remains of a lair in which she was born that she suddenly stopped. Faced with the devestation surrounding her; the reek of illness and death in the air; her memories of the clan came back. Faces blurred through her pursuit of knowledge - the faces of her parents, her sister... other hatchlings with whom they had once played. Standing there, she suddenly felt empty and alone.

Fom there, she struggled to regain her earlier fire. Her life was empty. Her pursuit of knowledge had been futile. None of the answers had helped any other dragon. None of her questions had saved any other dragon. She wandered, lost, until she came across Clan Kaitos in the heart of the Shifting Expanse.

The sudden exposure to the life and colour took her breath away. So many different kinds of dragons and personalities that meshed together, constantly threatening to boil over, but somehow continuing to thrive with only a few figureheads guiding the huge amount of dragons. Temnota's thirst for knowledge came back with a vengeance. She no longer wanted to study the cold, empty universe. She wanted to study life.

From that day, Temnota cast aside her old name and felt reborn as a new dragon - Sayri. She constantly spies on the other dragons within the clan and has made close friends with Isato, Silmeria and Yggdrasil. She often switches notes with them and would even go so far as to call them her friends.

With a new hobby, new friends, and even a strange new family, Sayri's life is feeling more complete by day... to the point where she doesn't even mind turning her telescope back to the skies every now and then to contemplate Everything, Anything and Nothing.
