Brutus always inherently understood that the universe didn't see every dragon as equal. She always knew that there were some dragons that were always going to be above her no matter what she did. No matter what she did to appease them, no matter what she did to make them happy, it would never actually be enough to be seen as an equal. She would always be beneath her.
