Biography
Most dragons in Sornieth worship, or at least acknowledge, the Eleven as gods. Smaller pockets speak about local gods, dragons who ascended by sheer power alone, while others yet declare them demons, vile creatures who are mockeries of the Eleven. Regardless, there are many stories and legends, each contradicting the next. Yet, Agrippa knows, the truth is both far simpler and far more complicated than that. The thing about gods and demons is that they are, in essence, one and the same. It all just depends on the perception of one- and even the Eleven, which most dragons would agree are gods, could be considered demons. Thus, it stands to reason that the creatures most dragons agree are demons, could also be interpreted as gods. In the end, the name doesn't matter. With the proper words, proper worship, proper rituals, any of these beings will hear your pleas, and may be pursuaded to aid you. Yet, make a mistake, and they could just as easily decide to smite you. Agrippa knows the secret art of worshipping these demonic gods, these godlike demons. Knows, that more yet exist, that the Eleven are but a fraction of what dragonkind sees. Knows what to say, what to do, to call forth these beings, to invoke their blessings. To invoke their curses upon others. It is not without consequences to worship these beings, or to receive their blessings. Apathy enshrouds Agrippa's life, a coldness surrounding them at all times. A strain on the body, to conduit the powers of the Old Ones. It is sligtly lessened with the help of Vallalar's potions. They are not unfeeling, however; they hold respect for their fellow witch for keeping up with them... if not having a sneaking suspicion she would drop them at any point. Betrayal is not a new feeling for Agrippa. They will see what time brings. Contract them for your selfish purposes, if you so desire. No- don't pretend it is selfless. One does not resort to summoning demons out of selflessness. Agrippa understands. They are the summoner, after all. Pay them your dues, and they will grant you the power you seek. Try to weasel out of what you owe them, however... Hm. The Old Ones have always been partial to sacrifices... and Agrippa will provide. |
November, the Dark Moon Perhaps the most mysterious of all the Witchborne are those born under the Dark Moon. They thrive in darkness where they can mold and manipulate everything the night touches. Darkness alone is primarily used to cloud one's surroundings into perfect gloom as Child-Eaters are wont to do. But by tapping into a personal pool of ebon energy, the Dark Moon's Witchborne can weave darkness not only as light's absence, but into tools. The most accomplished Witchborne can even travel great distances in an instant through the shadows. |
Element: SHADOW Rarity: RARE |
Obscurus Witchborne are often avoided as they are known to be easily manipulated by the Shade, hence the heavy care and scrutiny taken in rearing these Witchbornes, if ever there are. Dragons born under this element are gifted in the following:
