The role of a Chosen carries with it a heavy burden, and without an entourage of the Lightweaver to guide him in his path, it's a weight that Gold has tried rejecting many times over.

Surely, there must be a reason his sprite never appeared. Surely, there must be a reason that the Lightweaver keeps Gold in her blessings even when he feels like a failure under her name. He can't go down a path of attunement like his peers—he downright refuses to. Why would he become a Chosen if he's meant to carry the torch entirely alone?

The power Gold has been given feels undeserved, a lie. He doesn't carry it with pride, nor love, but with an overwhelming bitterness and spite.

  • Somewhat stingy and short-tempered on account of all his Issues.
  • Bonds with Epoch in the most complicated way possible. As in, they constantly butt heads with each other and subconsciously build this low-key homoromantic rivalry that fuels them both to do their best. Of course, they refuse to actually talk about their issues with each other and resolve this tension, so this is an on-going thing. Whenever they get going, the rest of the clan heaves a collective sigh.
