Laureli

Laureli is a tattoo artist who uses her venom to help her give her clients the design they desire. Since the venom is very potent and Undertides typically reside in very aquatic areas, it made sense for an Auraboa to take up the task. Laureli doesn't only just work on tattoos but is an artist as well, painting things that have common true in the past to present. She not only is a tattoo artist but also loves painting watercolors and sketching in ink. Laureli thanks to her connections with her family knows and has discovered many different art styles and mediums from over years that help her with her hobbies and work. These tattoo are often referred to as accents partially skill or skins when they are full body tattoos. Her venom is strong enough to improve the speed of the process and is perfectly safe for dragons to be touched by without causing any burns. Of course, since the venom is toxic, Laureli keeps antidotes on hand that she received from Patchi just in case a dragon ends up squirming around too much and gets poked.

Depending on the ink a dragon is looking to get, Laureli has a talent for making the ink she uses semi-permanent to permanent. If a dragon has no intention of keeping the ink or may just want it for sometime, Laureli will use a special bit a venom antidote to wash away the previous tattoo. Fortunately, these type of tattoos are imbedded too deep and will heal up a little after it is removed. The other way Laureli will give non-permanent tattoos like the ones she will give young hatchlings is through water-based tattoos where she per paints the designs onto a sticky film that then sticks to the hatchlings. For dragons that have thick furry coats, Laureli can still use a permanent paint to dye the fur to complete designs that they might have.

Laureli in her free time loves to draw out her own designs and patterns where her favorite kind of art medium is either free form or pastels. Her favorite designs include those that are very large, open, and abstract. Though florals and stars are some of her favorite patterns too. Laurelei is very sweet, often helping out her clients that are not well adjusted to getting tattoos by keeping their skin cool with her ice abilities. She is also quite talkative and loves getting to know more about her clients especially since tattoos can take a while.

Laureli spends lots of her time asleep having wonderful dreams about past flora and fauna and even gets tips from her ancestors on her designs. She also spends a lot of time with her mate Pythor who either meets her in the dream state where they can hangout and see the stars Pythor tracks ir talk to their family and friends far away. The Auraboa have their own den, while the Veilspun hang out in the tree roots and tunnels, the Gaolers in the caves where the hibernal den sits, the Banescale in the cliffs and have an aerial flying course, the Aberrations who hang out wherever they want though usually by the marshes (since they like staying cool seeing as they are both ice aberrations), the Sandsurges who hang out in the building they work their experiments at, and the Undertide who have their own lagoon, and the Aether who nest in a cocoon amongst the deepest and darkest part of the clan’s woods, the Auraboa live within the upper tree levels, where they weave a giant resting area where they are only sometimes located at. This nest is above the main clan area where the hanging tree village resides and is quite the work of art. The branches of the trees have been intertwined by the careful work of the Auraboa to create an antique pattern. Even though they nest in the branches above they still allow light to pass down onto the trees below in glimmering rays of light. The top of the nest is full of weaved leaves and column of branches in an arched pattern above that intertwine in a curved dome that has shades made from beautiful ivy and wrapped around the whole structure are beautiful flowering blossoms. The windows are open air and all the Auraboa do their best to sleep here rather than just falling asleep midday. On occasion, an Auraboa removal service has been issued to move the an Auraboa that end up falling into deep slumbers along the bridges and walkways throughout the clan’s village. Laureli sometimes ends up falling asleep along the trees within bundles of flowering tree blossoms to which the florist Auberon is responsible for making. As such he has started making special flower arrangements just for Laureli along the path to help reduce the chance she falls asleep in the middle of it. It has sort of become a sort of Auraboa rest stop. If one falls asleep far from their nest, the clan members can push (if they are small) or place them in the hanging flowery baskets so they can camouflage into the flowers and sleep soundly. Clan members know to tie the bandanas and let the Glade Guard know if they are still there by the end of the day so they can be checked on. On occasion, Glimmer and Rowan will have to try their best to care for the Auraboa since the deep slumbers can last days.
