Marmalade's egg was found by a group of the clan's scavengers while out on a gathering mission, and was adopted by Tranquil and Birch before it hatched. As the only one of their children still living in the clan, the two are very overprotective of their daughter. Marmalade has an adventurous spirit, and despite loving her fathers she does not appreciate their attempts to shelter her.

As an adult, her desire for adventure and discovery brought her to Arlo's Digsite. The Archaeologist provided her an opportunity to explore new environments and make new discoveries in relative safety, making it a great compromise for her to explore without worrying her fathers.
