Auraboas, unlike most of the other races, commonly traveled Northern Sornieth, albeit through more concealed paths. After all, nature grew all across the world, and it was ever considered smart to travel for gathering.

It helps that Nanaimo’s family worked in chocolate and coffee. They often made pilgrimages to and from the Behemoth, leading to many clutches bearing the eyes of other Flights despite their loyalty and alignment. Nanaimo himself was born in the latest generation under the ever-warm Light, and inherited a grove of cacao trees as it came into it’s own life - so, running into Kalle while his family traveled to and from was purely incidental, and he agreed to have the authour’s family along to check out the Auraboa city in the Behemoth for the sake of their book – well, minus Fidget, for obvious reasons.

Nanaimo was actually a name suggested to him by Frith while the group were visiting, and a moniker it adopted with a smile. Upon their return trip, the party invited it to stay in their manor; and, with his family’s blessing, it agreed, becoming both gardener and baker for the mishmashed household.
