“Welcome to the Dollhouse, darling~”

She plucks out a rose to touch its petals and sighs. "I may open my doors to you and have one of my dolls entertain you for the night..." She offers you the rose. Its fragrance intoxicating. "You are welcome to smell the roses, have some tea and play some games~" Her smirk twitches to bare fangs. "However, there is always a price to pay for such luxuries. You have been warned." She looks at you and chuckles. "Try not to push our buttons. Else your head may not be... around in the morning." |

The Dollhouse is run by Ruse and Roulette. At a glance it may appear like a brothel, but it is more of a host club that has a casino, lounge and bar. It also includes housing for their employees. It is funded and protected by a secret Mafia called the Vile Syndicate, run by Samael.
The Dollhouse looks like a tavern with a sign that hangs a large button with a ribbon for a logo. It has three floors and a basement. It houses patched-up coatls with button eyes, they call Dolls. Some of them are off duty and out adventuring the world, so they aren't restricted to the Dollhouse. They can go there to visit, or if there's a paying client who want's their company.
Ruse mostly hangs out with Samael and the Vile Syndicate who circulate treasure around, as loan-sharks, "rose dusties", and gamblers. He keeps his businesses separate, and funny enough, they have gain ties with a Circus, involving Ventriloquist, Carnival and Calliope. There is speculation on Philip and Otzara's involvement at the harbour. The Syndicate can slide under their radar when they sneak in shipments.
Rose Dust is a concoction made by Roulette with the collaboration of Roxanne. It is like a "love potion" that can give wild dreams to a consumer. At small doses, it is a sweet, harmless high, but it can get addicting if it is not controlled. Roulette has not used a petal of this Dust on her Dolls or her Offspring. She has also put tough rules on her clients, and if any rule is broken they can lose their heads...and other body parts.
While Roulette looks after the Dolls working, raising them like her own family, Roxanne is hired to help look after the place. Roxanne is their lounge singer and second hostess. She is also their third partner in the polyamorous relationship with Ruse. She is just as devious and cunning as Roulette, and they even make it a game to outwit Ruse from time to time. Rumour has it, they might take in a third lady to "ruin" their man.
The Dollhouse has its mysteries and misfits, but for the most part it is a big crime family who look after their own. There are still plenty of questions, like why are Sam's sons looking after a cult? Why is this Rose Dust being circulated? Why sponsor a Circus?
For now, some mysteries are left a mystery...
