Biography
Role: The Scribe
Mate: none
Familiar(s): Cressida, the celestial antelope
Hoard: good inkwells and feathers
Theme: N/A
Quiet, reserved and serious, Hamesh can usually be seen in the back chambers of the Library, leaning over his seemingly neverending paperwork, for he is the scribe of the Library of the Nephilim.
He spends most of his time with his best and only friend, Tamef - pretty much because no one else can stand either of them. While the mirror is widely disliked for his cruel and gross behavior and the fact he might drip on stuff, Hamesh simply just weirds everyone out. Other than being a little too invested in his job, he's convinced that he isn't a dragon, but a "human", whatever that might be. No matter what you argue, it's impossible to change his mind on this. He never believed anyone and likely never will, and others either let it go or simply avoid him. Most choose the latter. But if you leave him be and not try to prove him wrong, he's generally nice to have around: he's distant, cold and formal to people he barely knows, but with acquaintances, he's polite and a little bit warmer. He's quick to retreat to his shell of indifference, so when he opens up, he must be handled with care. He usually tries to avoid conflict, but if necessary, he will clash down with full force when you least expect it. Even though he used to be bullied a lot about his ridiculous curtness, he doesn't seem to care at all. Comments on that matter fly over his head (pun intended) the same as the ones about his species.
Hamesh and Tamef's relationship is a really weird alliance. When Hamesh first arrived at the Library, the mirror instantly found out what a wonderful bullying victim he'd make, and began to pester him about his beliefs and lenght non-stop. The fact he couldn't infect the imperial with anything nasty just made him even more vile, so after about a day of sucking it up, Hamesh had enough, and beat the crap out of his abuser. From that on, Tamef slowly started to spend more and more time around Hamesh, and somehow ended up being kinda-sorta friends. Even though they argue a lot and get into fights, they're never as bad as their first, and Hamesh wouldn't even dream of seriously injuring Tamef anymore. Even though he's evil and disgusting, the mirror has somehow got himself a special place in Hamesh's heart.
