100% dragon-made except his brain, Tesla is a guardian of the Library of the Nephilim, who works directly under Uria.
Even though "officially" he is the mecha protector of Cosmos's vast collection, he usually takes care of tasks that make him less nervous, for example huting and scavenging, or digging extremely important holes. He used to be completely contolled by dragons and only regained conscience recently, so the whole free will thing is pretty new for him, and he finds failure literally unprocessable. He sincerely believes he's perfect and cannot make mistakes, and whenever he does, he tries to find any excuse or explaination to prove otherwise. He's also terrified of water, small enclosed spaces, strangers, crowds, the serthis, various bugs and rodents, and Inga.
The members of the clan found him once while out scavenging. He was covered in mud and had completely shut himself down, so they didn't really know what to do with him or what he was anyway. He was brought to the Library on Cosmos's request, who wished to examine him further. After a long while they finally found a trustworthy mechanic who was able to repair him, and when he was turned back on, he turned out to be sentient, thinking, and very lost. His rather clumsy and helpless nature instantly brought forth Mitera's motherly instincts, and ended up adoping him. He didn't recall who he was prior being robotized, and referred to himself as "serial number 16046362", so the clan took the responsibility to name him.
When they found him, they also had to deal with the brutally aggressive fuiran that was protecting Tesla's energy-less body. Apparently, due to the robot's lack of dragon smell and inanimate state, the predator had claimed him his territory and fought anyone who got too close. In the end they brought the fuiran back to the Library as a solution along with Tesla, and the two of them still spend a lot of time together, even though their bonding mostly consists of the familiar napping on his "territory's" head and growling at anyone who comes within their 5-meter radius.
