Biography

Gryphon's Blood Sempervivum
Ornamental Sash

arryth
"you got a wild heart in your cage"

profession: traveling musician
s/o: eka
pronouns: he/she/they, uses he/him most
about:
A bard cursed by a higher fate to play endlessly, becoming imperishable and endlessly young.

Being a remnant of a moral mourning his newfound youth he thus abandoned his role as an eternal servant musician, running into the moonlit desert with a bloodied branch-horn of his master god. Going against their fate is something any mortal would do, but the poor musician was cursed by the god he scorned, and the branch-horn bound with his body and cursed his heart to turn into an eternal tangle of rose.
A blessing, it was called, and a curse- two fates eternally bound in one body. Every scarred callous from his years of playing a lyre faded into withering petals, every gash and wound rehashed itself as thorny vines, every mark of his life withering into velvety wisps.

It has been many a generation since then. Nowadays, he simply prefers to spend eternity with the mortal world he was plucked out of- usually by entertaining bazaar visitors with days-long serenades upon rooftops and in bars, listening to visitors, always offering his smile and an ear.

- One of the pruned buddings from his eternal heart grew into another heart- and into a dragon. Coyote (a name not given) is his son but Arryth doesn’t acknowledge the half-beast immortal… that is, at least, until his lyre is stolen by them.
- Refuses to enter the Capital City out of fear of the rosy, wolf-toothed god that lurks in it.
