Dawn is a Priestess of the Lightweaver, and as such, possesses impressive healing abilities. She handles upkeep of the Temple, often with the help of Nimil, and deals with all exaltees to be sent to the Lightweaver. She is kind, but stern, and although she does not begrudge others their religions, her sermons, which are incredibly moving, have converted many a dragon in the city.

She is a Beastclan supporter, and is willing to provide shelter in the Temple of the Lightweaver to any individual in need of sanctuary. Not everyone agrees with this policy, but Dawn's kindness is not limited to her own species.

She found Dahlia on one of her journeys to the Beacon to bring new Acolytes to serve the Lightweaver. Convinced that this glimmering hatchling must be sent from Her Radiance, Dawn brought her back to the city and began instructing her in theology. The Pearlcatcher has since become High Priestess of the Lightweaver and now presides over religious rites and administers her own eloquent sermons.
