Name: French for lamb(s)
Transformed into a vampire at a young age Agneau knew a long immoral life of violence and bloodshed. She was good at it. For a while she became known as a terror of Sornieth, tales of the horrors she caused preceding her travels to new lands. It didn't take long to tire of her perpetual life on the move facing more and more frightened travelers attempting to slay "the bloodthirsty monster" as her legends only grew in hyperbolic nature. Sure when she first turned she had worse impulse control and fed on innocents, she has yet to hear of another with her condition who didn't give in even a little. As she aged she gained control over her impulses, it had been well over a century since she even injured another who hadn't attacked her first.
By pure chance while fleeing from an angry vampire hunting mob she stumbled directly into the lair of a powerful clan in Shadowbinder's lands. Much to her surprise the leaders themselves appeared flanked by a pair of nocturns, though physically small, their presence froze the mob in their tracks. Without words the nocturns, one bright like the sun the other dark as night, brought her inside the thick wall of brambles protecting their clan. She heard roars from behind but refused to turn around, she was accepted here, she refused to let them question her motives. She would prove herself however they deemed.
Turns out this place was built around giving missfits a chance to live how they always wanted. Tiny nocturns given the chance to be powerful warriors able to protect others. Abandoned hatchlings who grew up to lead their found family. And a fearsome vampire allowed to run a café and read to the clans hatchlings when they had troubled falling asleep, fearing monsters in the dark.
In a place where her kind spirit was allowed to flourish she started writing her own childrens books. At first they were simple stories about getting along, sharing, and a few about numbers and letters. However her passion lead to her writing about the hatchlings she worked with. Stories of what her previous children accomplished, stories of what the current generation showed interest in, stories of herself at that age, the friends she would probably never see again... stories about how she hopes their lives went.
