As a spiral in a tribe of mixed backgrounds, Denas stands out as a migratory creature. Since his hatchling days, he has been fascinated by the change of the currents, the air beneath his wings, and the ground far below him. This in itself is regarded as
a little strange- he is not a member of the Wind-Dancers, and he does not really have a purpose that would take him out of the tribe's territories.

As a hatchling, many of the dragons with positions that took them out of flight would be followed around by the small, curious Spiral male, battered with his questions about the world out there when they returned from their journeys elsewhere. His dam and sire indulged him this, but later became surprised at his insistence of travelling, always moving and travelling throughout Sornieth's territories.

His dam, Volani, became distraught at the news that Denas was leaving- as she was only able to lay one nest, losing a hatchling shortly after hatching, Denas is held closely to her heart. However, she realizes that even though she may not cross paths with her hatchling again, she hopes that he will live a long and happy life in another clan.
