Charlie

Abandoned as an egg, Charlie never knew his parents. His only parental figure is his familiar, a Tunnel Hydra, whom he calls Mama. She found his egg nestled between a handful of tumbled boulders, and mistook it for a hydra egg. She brought it to her lair and tended to the egg just as vigilantly, if not more so, than she would if it were her own. When Charlie hatched, the hydra was puzzled, but she loved him nonetheless. Her three heads had finally agreed on something: This child. This sweet, probably deformed Hydra with only one head that she had claimed as her son. She is well known for threatening death upon whoever appears to be a threat to her precious child.
Charlie doesn’t speak in dragon, though he can make himself understood relatively well. He’s much more comfortable in the coils of his Mama than anywhere else.
