Sindri is best known for his extravagant and often over-the-top creations. He is a jeweller who loves using intricate details and huge gems in his creations. He’s extravagant, a show-off and extrovert. He creates traditional, well-known kinds of jewellery and the kind that makes you wonder if he’s completely alright in the head. He spends hours working on different projects of his and these don’t always seem as beautiful to others as they seem to him. He doesn’t mind, because he’s an artist and they are not there to be understood by ignoramuses. His favourite is flourish jewellery which is attracts a dragon’s eye, has that bam! The pieces are big, showy and eye-catching, just what he loves on his creations. He’s not fond of teardrop apparel or any other kind of small, almost invisible jewellery, but when commissioned he does his best to make even such simple pieces be unique. He doesn’t sell himself cheap and commissioners often try to get him to lower prices. Sindri doesn’t budge, for he believes such is the worth of his creations. His work isn’t easy and Sindri doesn’t simplify it for himself either. He doesn’t allow anyone else to choose the metals and gems he will be working with for he believes no one had a good enough eye to pick out the right pieces. When the wares he can choose from aren’t up to his standards he will venture out himself to get them straight from the mines scattered around Sornieth, heedless of his age and aching joints. His splurging and behaviour don’t earn him a good reputation among his kin. He’s known as arrogant, obsessed with his craft and uncaring of others. No one will stop the hard-headed Sindri from doing what he wants but his mate Nephele. The Nocturne easily cows him into submission. He courted her for years before the prideful Nocturne said yes.
