Nyna is the daughter of the Skythestral clan leaders who were Allies of the Niharike clan. She entered the clan at a very young age and it took her some time to get used to the overwhelming head of the Ashfall Waste. It was apparent at an early age that she had a poor memory even for a tundra. It would take her months to be able to remember the names and faces of the clan members that she saw on a daily basis. Due to her lack of any noticeable talent and her poor memory, Andais had difficulty finding a task that Nyna could do with little trouble. A solution was provided by Surial who was the primary caretaker for the clan's hatchlings; she proposed that Nyna assist her in watching the hatchlings. This way Nyna would have a job that would be consistent enough for her to remember her duties and would free up Surial to focus on the more rambunctious hatchlings. Nyna was pleased to be useful and delighted in fussing over the hatchlings and playing games with them.


She formed an attachment with the industrious Rorik and had two clutches with him. While she was with Rorik she adopted the fae Beriberi who was the blood child of Shealha who was too traumatized to properly take care of her offspring. While Nyna did care deeply for Rorik they eventually drifted apart as it became clear that Rorik obsession with his inventions left him little time to give Nyna the attention she desired. Even though they are no longer mates Nyna still checks in on Rorik from time to time and he seems to enjoy the company.


As she matured her true talents as a natural healer began to develop. She was able to identify a sickness or injury by scent alone and she could recall the ingredients that were needed in any antidote that she had made or that she had seen made. It was assumed that this selective recollection accounted for Nyna’s abysmal memory in other areas. Nyna worked to improve her skills over time willing to heal every little injury or cough just so she could get in the necessary practice. During the time when she was adjusting to her new role as the clan healer she agreed to mate with the clan guardian and son of the clan leaders Celdricht at the suggestion (order) of Ellisande the clan matchmaker at the time. She was somewhat wary of this new arrangement but Celdricht and Megana (Cel’s previous breeding partner) were delighted to have her and bent over backwards to make her welcome. Over time Nyna developed a close friendship with the incorrigible Megana and the stoic Miecalei and they began to team up for foraging excusions. Nyna also began to train two assistants, Beriberi her adopted daughter and Renaile a rather reserved fae from the Starfall Isles to assist her in treating their growing clan.


Sometime later, during the great famine, the leader of the Phyron clan, Rizu, visited them sick with a mild fever. Nyna insisted on treating him and after getting quite tired of him arguing with her, she laced his food with a mild sleeping draught. He snuck off in the early hours of the morning and Nyna was forced to travel to his lair to ensure that her “patient” was well. He remained stubborn and she was forced to return home without being able to properly ensure that the fever had run his course. A month or two later Rizu had an altercation with a disgruntled ex-clan mate of his that resulted in him being infected with a highly lethal disease which he then spread to a few members of the Interlinea and Niharike clan member. With the help of Renaile Nyna managed to contain the infected dragons and the disease in an isolated area of the lair while she struggled to find the right combination of herbs that would counteract the disease. She was fortunate when the Interlinea clan healer, Aquila located the recipe for an antidote in one of her medicial scrolls that she had gathered. The antidote proved effective, however Nyna kept them all in quarantine for an extra week to be sure that the disease had been completely eradicated. Ever since this incident she has held a deep distrust even though she can no longer remember why his scent stirs those emotions in her.


For several years after this, things were peaceful for Nyna; she focused on healing, her herb garden, and training her apprentices. Time went by and the clan gathered more members, including a young plague mirror named Qadir. Seeing that they needed more space the clan leaders made the appropriate sacrifices to the Flamecaller and moved the clan to the Blacksand Annex. Tired from the move the clan let their guard down while they were settling into the new lair. Nyna first realized they were under attack when she heard Celdricht’s battle cry as the band of mercenaries descended onto their clan. Nyna had so few offense powers as most of her ability was pure healing ability, so she tried avoid notice and skirted the edges of the battlefield healing her injured clan mates and allies. She later recalled hearing Megana scream but only after the battle had ended did she learn that Celdricht had fallen in battle. Immediately after his funeral she tried not to think of Celdricht and instead focused on tending the clan members with more serious injuries.


For a few weeks she only took short breaks to eat and nap so should could tend her patients properly. "When she finally ran out of herbs, she sought out Michalei & Megana to accompany her on a gathering excursion. She found Megana in her den half unconscious clutching a small wooden carving and muttering to it. Nyna located Michalei and between the two of them they managed to clean her up and force her to eat something. They tried everything they knew but nothing they did could shake Meg out of her depression. Omoikane one of their newest clan mates approached them and asked to be allowed to help. With her assistance, Megana slowly began to regain some semblance of her old personality, but she was never truly as carefree as she had been before Cel’s death. Nyna left the care of her clinic to her two apprentices for a time in order to spend more time with Megana to assist her with recovery. As Meg slowly got better Nyna returned to work at her clinic and would at the end of the day she would rush back home to spend time with Meg. One day Meg snapped at her that insisting that she already had enough hovering with Omoi that she didn’t need it from Nyna as well. Assured of Megana’s health Nyna resumed her place as the head healer of the Niharike clan.


Since then, she has been courted by Qadir who shown himself to be extremely charming. He gifts her with hard to find herbs, and she often finds him waiting outside the clinic to escort her wherever she needs to go and talk about her day.
