Mossy Pearl Cerdae Stag

Registered 12/11/23
Tamarisk was born to a very large family of Pearl Cerdae, to parents who had made the pact themselves. Hatched with small wings, and ingesting the seed moments after birth, he lost the appendages completely after two weeks. Some of his siblings sported thorny, flowering vines like their father, but others, like Tamarisk himself, bore the mossy patches that their mother had.

He grew up in an abundance of love, with a father who so loved the world and a mother who delighted in revolutionizing healing, Tamarisk adopted a lust for life and a bright outlook on the world. In his adolescence, he explored beyond the emerald confines of the Gladekeeper's domain, seeing all that the world had to offer as his antlers grew in and a masculine ruff of fur began to encircle his neck and grow out around his ankles. He learned from many healers as he journeyed, taking bits and bobs along on his journey to eventually return to his mother when he got home.

While running close to the edge of the Tidelord's domain, he discovered an injured Maned Cerdae, withdrawn into its own den and lowering its horn at any who drew near. Tamarisk, with his medical knowledge imparted to him by his mother, slowly gained the injured creature's trust, and tended to its wounds. He gained the loyalty and companionship of the creature, and once it had recovered, it touched him with its horn, bestowing racing teal and brown marks along his body and weaving into the mane along his head and tail. With the gift of prized companionship of a cerdae and the likeness of one, Tamarisk returned home, and presented his mother with some of the things he'd gathered on his travels.

On his return to the Labyrinth, he encountered a golden mossy cerdae named Ida, and was struck with love at first sight. Finicky and vain, Ida gave him numerous tasks to complete before she'd even give him the time of day. A rare flower that only grew in a specific region of the forest? Done. A leaf from one of the highest boughs of the Behemoth? It took some scrambling with his back hooves, but he managed it. The finest fruit the Everbloom Garden had to offer? Brought on a broadleaf platter. Everything she asked of him, he completed, and it eventually won her over. She accepted his proposal and became his mate.

Where Ida tended to a garden of mushrooms and flowers, and aided new, young cerdae who were left to the whims of the forest, Tamarisk became a defender for the Labyrinth He helped those on their pilgrimages, escorted ambassadors, and even helped wayward travelers. While somewhat odd for those uninitiated to look at, it's easy for him to get around appearances with his bright, easygoing, and disarming demeanor.

Still.... It's unwise to invoke his ire.
