In a blink of an eye was Mimzy's hatchling swept away in a riptide during what what was supposed to be a relaxing day at the beach for the both of them. But one moment was her little daughter splashing around and the next was she overtaken by a rush of waves. Now a grandmother with her adopted hatchlings having hatchlings of their own, she can watch over her grandchildren with ailing eyesight, lovingly knit sweaters and overly affectionate and attention-seeking cats. While decades have passed, the grief of losing a hatchling of your own, losing a dragon that's a part of you never really goes away; from a sharp sting to a quiet dull pain, it still persists. And in the privacy of her basement does Mimzy truly unravel, running claws over blankets she her, old toys shoved away in boxes she played with, and the centerpiece of it all, a mannequin adorned with all the clothes she sewn for her daughter. From sweaters to shirts to dresses, at some point, all of the clothes and garments she would've worn. Though, it all changes when said mannequin has seemingly been sparked to life.

The mannequin coming to life was never on Mimzy's bucket list, but she won't ever complain! They help her out with tasks that old, aging bones don't really lend themselves well to. But, there's something oddly... familiar about this strange mannequin.
