In the midst of a cluster of flowers clinging tightly to a tree branch does one, stray blossom catch the eye of the creator of Lords while on a stroll. An excuse of a flower, the Emperor thought, for it's petals were frail and dry, it's leaves crisp and crunchy, ready to be crushed into dust with the simple grasp of a hand. The lord of lords took pity on the sad blossom, carefully plucking the flower and imbuing life into it, to become more than a mere plant could ever be. And suddenly, a dragon opened his unknowing eyes, moving his new limbs, listening with fresh ears. Withers, they called him, the lord of spring and life, ironically enough. The Emperor thought that a being so close to death would know how to keep others away from that brink; how little did the Emperor know then. Withers quickly became acquainted with dragon kind, especially with his fellow Aethers, a species of Ancients known for their connection to nature. A certain group of Aethers essentially became Withers' kin as they taught him how to use his new powers, despite knowing little about Withers himself, putting full trust that this dragon was indeed the lord of spring. But during the war against Ancients, the Emperor and his army set the forest they lived in, hoping to capture and eliminate any Ancients they could get their claws on. Withers, still not in complete control of his powers, could do little to fight against the intruders as all were taken until he was left standing alone. In a fit of grief, Withers roared, harnessing his true powers as the lord of spring and life, his antlers growing into the very branches of the trees he came from, grass and flora bursting from beneath his claws, their colors mirroring those of his fallen friends. From loss did he create life; the Galico Glades.

Allegro was one of the first dragons to stumble upon the Galico Glades, watching a still grieving Withers practice his magic in complete solitude. Gently, Allegro sat beside Withers as they both contemplated in silence.

Withers is one of the few old lords that Saluna actively prays to, considering how he did create her home. The Aether feels slightly uncomfortable whenever he hears the priestess complaining about the old lords.
