There's a common saying among soldiers that once your blood spills onto the battlefield, you'll forever live a life of war. And while not true to any extent, unfortunately the lord of plague and death himself has taken inspiration from such tales as he roams and reaps land stained from vicious battles. Within vials who's rims are caked with the remains of countless does Truett, lord of plague, deposit the blood of the fallen and the living he finds that dye the dirt red, collecting and collecting until he had enough to create his latest vessel of suffering: Tarnished. A dragon, if one could even be so generous as to call it such, composed entirely of blood that Truett has scavenged from his dreadful ventures across Loriel, from the corpses of dead soldiers to the remains of the sickly to the blood that so happens to dribble from an open wound. They're held together by cloth soaked crimson and pieces of armor haphazardly thrown together to give Tarnished the appearance of a lethally wounded soldier, so badly injured that their scales have been dyed red. But when any dragon too kind and foolish to help Tarnished approaches them, that's when they'll strike, draining the blood out of any unfortunate dragon to add to their own, ever-decreasing body mass. After all, some blood will be lost by the nature of it being liquid. There's even been a new saying among soldiers, speaking of never lending a claw to the Knight of Blood.
