Turtle

"You can call me Turtle. Everyone else does!"

He always introduces himself by his nickname, so no one in Sunbeam Grotto knows what Turtle's true name is. Does it really matter? It doesn't seem to make much difference to the dragon himself - indeed, he lights up at any mention of turtles and other reptiles. Turtle - the dragon, that is - can typically be found wading around in the water, eyes bright and attentive to the movement of the creatures below the surface.

Flatback Sea Turtle and their kin have learned the way to Sunbeam Grotto's peaceful shores, so when they come to lay their eggs in the sand, Turtle diligently posts up signs warning foot traffic away and monitors the area himself day and night. His eyes sparkle with joy and pride when the hatchlings finally find their way to the Sea.
