• Alekto is an energetic and skillful Ranger, always ready to start a new adventure. She loves exploring new lands and befriend anyone from small critters to ginormous orcs. However, don't be fooled by her good nature. If cornered, or if someone threatens her loved ones, she'll become as ferocious and dangerous as a mama bear.
Alekto likes to keep a travel diary that she fills with every scrap she finds.

Alekto was born in the Lower City of Baldur's Gate to basket-making parents. She grows up in a humble but loving family, who soon moved to a small village in the grove outside the city, where her younger sister, Tisiphone, was born. The community there is unusually quiet and supportive, and willingly accepted the Tieflings' family, allowing them to have a peaceful existence. Alekto immediately took on the role of a good older sister, acting as a wise and responsible mentor for her little sister, who instead always tended to get into troubles.
As they grew up, the two sisters soon learnt to survive in the woods, specializing in archery and the use of knives. Alekto soon became a skilled hunter, providing an excellent resource for the village's supply of food.
Unfortunately years later, returning from a hunting day, Alekto found her village set on fire and now reduced to a pile of ashes. During her absence, a group of Bhaal cultist attacked the inhabitants, killing everyone, including the Tiefling's parents. Overwhelmed by pain, Alekto was unable to find her sister's body in any way. With no one else left, from that day the ranger decided to live alone in the forest, tormented by the remorse of having abandoned her family and the village to a terrible fate.

• Best plan ever: use a Scroll of Polymorph on Orin to transform her into a sheep, then kill her. Done, quick and easy. Obviously it didn't work.
• Her bear companion is called Edgar. For a very serious reason, trust me.
