Biography

Jonathan Crane is not a dragon you want to ever cross paths with. As the self-proclaimed Master of Fear, you could probably guess why. His signature Fear Toxin will make you hallucinate whatever psychological horrors he wants you to see, and that is very likely to be what you fear the most; it may be all in your head, but they feel very close to reality. He is an expert in chemicals, as well as an expert in the mind. That is what makes him so dangerous... not his toxin, but his mind. He can find your deepest fear, break your mind, all in a single conversation. There was a point in time when he was professor at Gotham University, spreading what he knew to bright, young dragons. A psychologist who was very knowledgeable in fear, phobias, and the like, and very passionate about them, too. You see, his scrawny fae body didn't do him any favors as a hatchling. Every day he lived in fear of bullies, and even his own father. It was his inspiration for the subject, to learn how to harness that fear. And harness it he did. But that harness, it only grew into an obsession. A horrible, wicked drive to study how fear works in other dragons. He became numb to the harm he spread for the sake of his research, an unstoppable force that wasn't deterred even when he was fired from GU for testing on human subjects. Unlike other patients in Arkham Asylum, he is truly evil. He is not insane, and therefore cannot be cured. You best stay out of his way and pray that that masked imperial will send him back into incarceration. It's rumored that Crane's own worst fears are this dragon and what he chooses to represent, the flying leather devils. It's even rumored that he has a phobia of what his costume is meant to scare off. But really? A Scarecrow afraid of crows? It's just laughable. Don't cling onto that hope that he has a weakness. He will extinguish that hope of yours the first chance he gets.
