JayLeno was gifted to Clan Hellgondo from Clan Morganite. He was rather conceited, known for his cocky attitude, simply due to the ideal that he was more beautiful and precious than everyone else within his new clan. Colors, genes, breed, everyone was inferior to this shining cry/fac/gem drake. The clan was mostly focused on magic, something that a dragon too focused on his own visual appearance would have no interest in. A risk to his beautiful, glittering scales. In an act of spite, JayLeno was put into the position of a the Vault Keeper, which was fine by him. He spent everyday surrounded by gorgeous gems that were equally as beautiful as himself. Something that only further roused the annoyance of his clanmates. Still. there are plenty of dragons with actual reasons not to have a real position, A magic deficiency? A weaker magic side in general? Now JayLeno probably could have become a dragon invested in magic if he wanted to. He had no magic deficiency and had the skills of Morgana within his blood. It was his lack of motivation that made him more so a burden. And thus, Alipheese had to let him go. Fortunately, Stogwen had one thing to fall back on. His liniage and bloodline relation to the Stogwen family. He wasn't unknown to these dragons and so when he landed on Clan Seafall's doorstep, Bitumen welcomed him with open arms. The issue of course wasn't even the fact he had gotten himself kicked out; that was something he could easily get over as displayed by him finding a new home briefly after loosing his first. No, it was more about how he got kicked out. How could they kick out a dragon as lovely as he? To say the least, it damaged him. Someone who typically sees themselves as above others being kicked out by others isn't surprising, but to the dragon who ends up in that situation might be stunned. It brought a smack of reality to this overconfident coatl. JayLeno came to the realization that looks may not determine his place in the world. He wasn't worth as much as he thought. He wasn't wanted if he wasn't useful in some way. He was determined to change his ways to avoid such humiliation again. Perhaps as much to go to drastic measures...... like...... working. Or at least that's how he felt in the beginning. Training to be a scout was hard work, especially since he was a plump lil coatl who usually gorged himself without doing anything afterwards. Flying long distances to train was nearly unbearable for him and he nearly quit several times. His glorious clothing was left torn and dirtied and his shine was dulled from practice skirmishes that he usually lost immediately. It was tough and really no one expected him to ever overcome his weight problems and laziness, not even himself. JayLeno was particularly surprised when he heard of the Civil War of Clan Morganite in the Barista one evening after training, even more so when he found out that his mother had been exiled from the clan. He had never particularly known his mother besides the fact that she was a very well respected dragoness within her clan and birthed him of course. Really it was a show of pity when he snuck out that night (with the help of Tiffany of course) to go and check up on his mother. He had really been expecting to find her already in another clan by the time he arrived in the Starfall Isles since he did have to cross the Scarred Wasteland to get there and she could have gone anywhere by then. He had little faith in his abilities and really doubted that his trip would do him any good. He genuinely surprised to find he was a lot stronger than he thought, easily making the flight in three days. He didn't go to Clan Morganite (he doubted they'd want to hear that he was there to rescue someone they kicked out) and instead flew around the Observatory and the surrounding areas.
