biography.
A prissy, fussy, and spoiled rotten lower-class yokai who was the consort of a much higher class, much more powerful one. Hanaki's life, since he was a hatchling, had been nothing but riches. The most rare and delectable delicacies their world offered, clothes spun from the most expensive silks. His master's attention, admiration, and love. He had it all and some more, with any newer wishes and desires offered to him on hand and foot before he could even get the order out.

And yet, something felt missing from his life. He was feeling too comfortable. Too bored. Too... Caged.

He shouldn't have up and left like he did. Just up and abandoned everything when his master, his husband, had been busy with something else. But it was such a perfect opportunity! Nobody was keeping an eye on him! All he had to do was ask for the help of some of the servants and bribe others to claim they had never seen him leave, and Hanaki was out. Into the free world to search for what he had been missing.

So, that's how Hanaki ended up here, in the Nest of Delights. Truth be told, his current life isn't much different than when he was King's Consort. Still, he seems to prefer it much better. He sees a lot more people than he used to, tastes a lot more dishes than he used to, and makes many more friends than he used to.
