You can't go through life protecting yourself from everything. You have to take chances. Because if you don't, then you might as well not be living.

Just because Nariko claims to be able to do things, doesn't mean that she can. Nariko's experiments nearly always lead to disaster. Her main job is to make sure the hoard is stocked up with health potions, to be used when needed in battle. It's when she isn't doing this, that problems occur. Nariko is experimental, and sometimes this means trying her new inventions on her fellow clan members. If you look closely at the scales of her friends, you may find scars of past failed experiments and for those dragons, they are a great reminder that it's best to avoid Nariko.

When disaster does strike, Nariko fails to handle the situation and sometimes makes the ordeal worse by ignoring the problem altogether, 'out of sight, out of mind', right?
