Ever since he was a hatchling, Eldam enjoyed making clay sculptures. He uses his claws and fins to mold the earth into images of dragons and many other critters. His dream is to travel around the world, gathering inspiration and knowledge to better his skills and craft. Eldam enjoys gifting every clan he visits with a little clay sculpture before going on his merry way.

Eldam’s first stop was the bustling Cragenmire City. It was renowned for it’s excellent, magically potent crystals, but a lesser-known fact was the high-quality clay that could be found deep in the tunnel systems that branched from the city. Though still young, Eldam turned down help from the dragons of the clan, citing a need to search for the clay himself. If he couldn’t do this, how could he ever hope to be a sculptor? Though he was successful, he came out of the experience changed; namely, his fishbone spines and spikes had disappeared and instead he was encircled in rings of light. Strangely, he seemed to be able to channel magic through the rings. Perhaps he could use that to his advantage. Nevertheless, he practiced his sculpting with the clay and, after selling some of his creations and presenting a well-received likeness of the Earthshaker to the clan leaders, he packed the rest up and set back out on the road.

Minerals & Ores

Clay is used in making bricks, pottery, and reinforcing dens. On occasion, dragons will ingest clay to soothe upset stomachs.

Eldam arrived at the border of the Scarred Wasteland and Tangled Wood, where he came across the clan of Crow Callers. He found himself learning some important things about sculpting from Kintsugi, who he also became fast friends with. He also got along with fellow travelling artist Larkin, and showed him how to sculpt.

Imelda, a fellow Sandsurge, was impressed by Eldam's talents. He soon realized that he was in love with her, and Imelda was also interested in learning how to sculpt.

After a while, Eldam and Imelda's first hatchling - Stormknight - had hatched. They were delighted to find that he too was gaining an interest in sculpting.

Eldam enjoyed his visit so much that he made the decision to stay, deciding to occasionally volunteer at the Travellers' Lodge as well.
