Once a princess of a Lightning clan, Amalure was a dragon too curious for her own good. She explored many locations, straying as far as different elemental regions. Mainly she encountered friendly clans, some would even give her tours of interesting areas.

It was the Plague region where the princess' curiosity claimed everything she had. The Wyrmwound beckoned to be seen up close, and with a toxic bubble popping inside of it Amalure got startled, the pearl slipping from her claws into the depths of abhorrent liquid.

The change was almost immediate. Once a beautiful, healthy dragon partially stripped to bones and sinew, growing antlers, ethereal sets of clawed appendages at the base of her wings, entire new maws on her body... An abomination without memories nor a sense of self, the corruption of her body and soul only stopped when a black blur dove into the pit to retrieve the pearl.

Thanatos handed it back to the princess, taking the confused creature under her wing to join the Troupe for a new life. As devastated as Amalure was, she never lost the will to go on, forming new memories with her newfound family to fill the void that the old ones left behind.
