Since the dawn of dragons the Troupe existed. Its members everchanging, save for the Mother. She raised so many and saw as many fade under the footfalls of time. Ones she never succumbed to, and never questioned why.
A creature of two minds that knew their purpose from the start. Always impartial; always there in the end.

Until she rebelled.

Hatchlings she'd refuse to pull into a final embrace, and instead took under her wing were few, chosen for the strength of their spirit. She gave them a second chance, pulled them through against all odds, and showed them the love they lacked in the first life.

Ever wandering the realms, Thanatos never discriminated, taking in the undesirables of all flights. Though her markings are that of Plague, she never belonged to any in particular. Never allied with any faction and fought no wars but her own. Everyone would meet her eventually, and she wasn't fond of ever making it violent.
