Enigma hatches deep within the Behemoth, their parents alarmed at their silence. And while Enigma, along with many other Auraboa that year, does eventually learn to balance between the Loop and the waking world, something always feels off. They have a streak of caustic nihilism, a deep-seated impulsivity. It's not long until the boughs of the Behemoth begin to feel like a cage.

When a pair of their childhood friends invite them out into the wider world, they accept quickly. They travel for many days, meandering south-west through the skies. And while there are opportunities for them to alight upon the Colonnades of Antiquity or investigate Murkbarrow Close, they feel compelled to press onwards. And while they feel a stirring of recognition flying over Quarantine Zone #128, it's not until they approach the clouded skies surrounding the Forbidden Portal that they're ready to land.

To their surprise, another Auraboa greets them. Or- not an Auraboa. Glitch looks much like Enigma, but her skittering limbs and manic smile give her away as something else. She's delighted and curious to see them, having never met an Auraboa herself. She announces herself an Aberration, touched by the light of stars. And while Enigma suspects it's something much darker than the stars that reached her, they can't bring themself to distrust a shapeshifter who reminds them so much of themself.
