A lone alien wanderer amidst the stars, nothing delights Aster more than the sight of flowers and mesmerizing glow of tiny bugs at night. It's the little things that bring her joy nowadays, especially after the harrowing loss of her family. Timid and easily startled by loud noises, her journey to become braver may be a long one, but at least she's working on it. Just don't put her anywhere with hot weather or bright lights - she'd much rather steer clear of those.

____Happenstance brought Aster to the clan, but it was not what kept her there. She was a traveler, one that moved about at her own whim, though not through the world but the stars above. She had seen constellations from different viewpoints, red supergiants on the cusps of supernovas or black holes, nebulae that felt like soft sand when she ran her claws through them. She was enamored with the sights, though when she spotted galaxies colliding into each other or stars bursting she found herself turning away, eyes shut tight from the sight of the explosions. Aster was at least grateful that there was no sound in space, saved from the echoing cacophony that those stellar events would promise if she could hear them.

Aster’s eyes settled on a planet that looked like a painter’s palette from afar. The different realms of this world were as vibrant and unique as the stars had been, and it drew her toward it with just as much curiosity. It was this curiosity that drew her to a clan in the Shadowlands, a place that reminded her of the dark vastness of space. Aster had grown used to the sensation of being alone as she traveled, meeting and making friends here and there but never for long. She had traveled the infinite ocean of space alone since she left her own home planet, no longer able to sit still and unable to bear witness to any similar events that left her an orphan.

The clan that she had traveled to was welcoming, allowing her safe travels in its territory and lodging for her time, and she found herself settling comfortably within it, growing accustomed to the other dragons roaming the land their clan inhabited alongside her. She grew closer to some of them, more than she had with others before, and often wondered to herself if she had been drawn here for a reason. She would stargaze with her friends and point out places she had been, and chase fireflies at dusk like little shooting stars in the fields near the clan’s main lair. She could always leave, return to the stars if she so pleased, but she stayed for now.

____Growing up, Aster had wondered about life beyond her world. She was always such a a curious one, even now she still is, but sometimes being overly curious can put one in danger.

On her home world, it was quite common for one to have multiple names, as it was quite rare for one to own a single name. (Change?)
Aster traveled through many worlds, exploring the many different realms within. There was no place she could truly call home, for her home was long gone like dust in the wind...

It happened so suddenly. Blinding lights filled her vision, the ringing noise in her ears, and the burning flames that threatened to swallow her whole. An explosion had taken place, right in the heart of the museum where she and her family was visiting. In the blink of an eye, everything was covered in flames, the muffled sound of screaming and wood crashing onto the floor was all she could hear. It all became a blur, her holding her mother's hand in one moment, the explosion happening next, and someone carrying her out the burning building.
The next few years passed by so quickly. Perpetually haunted by the trauma, the explosion caused her to greatly dislike hot weather and burning things, and she developed a fear of extremely loud noises. She subconsciously avoids extremely bright areas, grew a liking to dark places, and she tried her best to keep herself constantly busy, as to try and keep her mind off of what had happened that day, but that event always lingered in the back of her mind. Being taken care of by her grandparents, they couldn't help but worry for the young girl overworking herself day and night. She was only a child after all, yet she spent her youth doing everything she can to keep herself busy.
